1. Don’t expose too too much sunlight
Always protect your hair. Exposure to excessive sun, heat, dirt, pollution etc. makes your hair unhealthy. These can lead to dirt build up, drying out of hair and scalp, increased susceptibility to infections on the scalp. Use an umbrella or a hat. If not, you can just use your dupatta.

2. Don’t Sleep with Wet Hair
Wet hair is very fragile and breaks easily. After bath dry your hair with a hair dryer. When it is wet, the shaft and roots of your hair is more prone to damage. When you shampoo, don’t be too harsh to your hair. Massage smoothly. Avoid brushing of wet hair soon after bathing. If you have to then use a shower cap instead.

3. Avoid over Heating of HairAvoid using heat on your hair. Heat further strips the moisture content from your hair making it dry and frizzy. When over heated, it can also burn your hair. Use iron/curl, straighteners only if it is unavoidable!

4. Apply Coconut Oil regularly

Oil your hair as frequently as you can and use a gentle shampoo to get rid of the oil. Oiling the scalp is good for your hair. Keep the oil for sometime before shampooing it.

5. Use Cold Water for hair washing

Use cold water to wash your hair. Hot water make your scalps dry. Do not use ice cold water also. Use water at room temperature instead.

6. Cut Your Hair On Time
Cutting hair on time will help top how hair faster. Also, it helps passage of more hair to scalp thus you will have heathy hair roots.

7. Give protein for frizzy hair

If your hair is especially frizzy, substitute the hot oil treatment with a protein mix. Mix the yolk of two eggs with a bit of warm water. Using your fingers, massage this into your scalp and hair shaft. Keep the mix on your hair for 30 mins, then rinse in warm to cool water. You can also use a mix of bananas and avocados for this.

9. Eat healthy food for your hair

Earlier days, people used to eat food that was as close to the earth as possible. Your hair needs Nutrition too. A balanced diet, including healthy oils for essential fatty acids, is important for hair health and shine. Eat lot of salmon, walnuts, and yogurt, sweet potatoes, spinach, blueberries, and more daily to get levels of protein, zinc, vitamins, and minerals needed for happy locks.

10. Avoid hair styling products
Hair styling products can dry your scalp, if you use it directly at the scalp. Avoid using it very often. If needed, apply it to hair strands and not the scalp.
