Hero Motocorp has launched the 2018 Super Splendor 125cc motorcycle in India at Rs 57,190 (ex-showroom).
The new Super Splendor is powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder 125cc TOD (Torque-on-Demand) engine which produces 11.2bhp @ 7,500rpm and 11Nm of torque @ 6,000rpm, mated to a four-speed gearbox. A 13 litre fuel tank, which gives nearly 800 kilometers of range per tank. It is now capable of a maximum speed of 94 km/h.
The bike also features the Hero i3S technology (idle stop and start system) claiming to provide the bike with a better fuel efficiency.
The new Hero Super Splendor features automatic headlamp on (AHO), side-stand indicator and side reflector. It gets an updated seat profile, a wider rear tyre and a side utility bow with a lock. It also comes with a chrome finish muffler and modern graphics. It gets a neatly-integrated LED tail-lamp as well as opposed to the angular, hexagonal unit on the outgoing model. It comes equipped with a telescopic front suspension and twin hydraulic shock absorbers in the rear. Brakes come in the form of 130 mm drums at both ends.
The Super Splendor is based on a tubular double cradle frame and measures 1,995 mm in length, 735 mm in width and 1,095 mm in height. The wheelbase of the bike is 1,265 mm and the seat height is 785 mm
