Honor, Huawei’s sub-brand, launched its midrange smartphone Honor 7x in India at a starting price of Rs 12,999. It will be exclusively available via Amazon India from December 7.
The phone will be available in India in only the 32GB and 64GB variants. The 32GB storage variant priced at Rs. 12,999. The 64GB variant on the other hand, is priced at Rs. 15,999.
Honor 7X features a 5.93-inch full-HD IPS display. The screen has a resolution of 1080*2160 pixels and has 18:9 FullView display which will enhance a user’s experience while watching movies, playing games or browsing the internet. The screen has Corning Gorilla glass protection.
The smartphone is powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card (of up to 256GB). The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor 7X runs on EMUI 5.1 that’s based on Android 7.0 Nougat and is backed up by a 3,340mAh non removable battery which the company claims 12 hours of video playback and 91 hours of music playback.
Honor 7x has a dual rear camera setup with a 16 megapixel + 2 megapixel sensor that supports PDAF technology which allows the cameras to focus extremely fast. The phone also has an LED flash to assist the cameras in low light scenarios. The camera can capture Full-HD videos at 30fps and also has other features such as geo-tagging, touch focus.
The phone features an 8-megapixel selfie front snapper. The front camera also has a Gesture Control function which allows you to take a selfie by simply turning your palm to the camera.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, a fingerprint sensor (on the rear panel), and proximity sensor.
