Kerala High Court has lifted the lifetime ban imposed on Indian cricketer S Sreesanth. The ban was imposed by BCCI on the allegation of spot-fixing in the 2013 edition of the Indian Premier League.
In 2015, a Delhi trial court had dismissed all charges leveled on him. But BCCI continued to hold out and didn’t lift the life ban imposed on him. Sreesanth then sent a petition to the Kerala High Court.
The latest development comes as a relief to the bowler who has been fighting for justice since the acquittal.
After the judgement, S Sreesanth wrote on Twitter, “God is great..thanks for the all the love and support”.
