Panasonic launched its entry-level budget smartphone – P101 priced at Rs 6,999. The highlight of the budget smartphone is the 18:9 Big View display.
The Panasonic P101 comes with 5.45-inch Big View IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio along with a 2.5D curved glass top protection, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB by using a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and is backed up by a 2,500mAh battery.
The P101 comes with an 8-megapixel primary camera at the back along with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter at the front, also with an LED flash. The camera supports other modes like portrait, time lapse, beauty mode, front mirror, etc.
Connectivity options include dual sim, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM and OTG support. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient light sensor.
The Panasonic P101 offers Smart Gestures which allow users to assign alphabets that open specific apps, even if the phone is locked. It also comes with Smart Actions that can change modes in the phone, make direct calls, and double-tap to wake up the screen.
