Renault India launched its new SUV Captur in India at a starting price of Rs 9.9 lakh (Ex-showroom).
The Renault Captur comes in both petrol and diesel engines with manual transmission while the automatic option is expected to be introduced sometime in future. 1.5-litre turbocharged motor comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission and churns out 110PS and a torque of 240Nm. The petrol version gets a 1.5-litre engine producing 106PS of power and 142Nm of torque and it comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The new SUV is 4,329mm long, 1,813mm wide and 1,613mm tall. With a wheelbase of 2,673mm, it comes with a ground clearance of 210 mm.
Renault Captur comes with features such as LED headlamps with daytime running lamps and Audi-like dynamic turn indicators, smart access card for keyless entry and 17-inch alloy wheels. There’s a 7.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system that offers a number of connectivity options such as Bluetooth, USB, aux-in, integrated maps and navigation. Interiors come with twin white and gold tone, white and black leatherette seats and ambient LED lighting.
Other features include projector headlamps, C-shaped Sapphire LED DRLs, fully automatic temperature control with rear cooling vents, steering wheel controls, push- button start with remote central locking, dual airbags, Antilock-Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist and rear defogger with wiper.
In the inside, the SUV comes with an old infotainment system. On the safety side, it comes with dual front airbags, ABD with EBD and brake assist. It also boasts Cruise Control feature and a speed limiter. It also has 2 lateral ISOFIX fixtures with top-tether in the rear seat for child safety.
