Samsung launched its midrange smartphone Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) in India today. The smartphone will be exclusively available from Amazon India. It has been priced at Rs 32,999 in India.
The Samsung Galaxy A8+ comes with a 6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by octa-core Exynos 7885 processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be further expanded upto 256GB via a micro-SD card. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is backed up a 3500 mAh battery that also supports fast-charging.
The major highlight of the smartphone is that it has dual front camera setup. There is a 6MP primary front camera and a secondary 8MP camera with f/1.9 aperture. It sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, phase detection autofocus, LED flash and 1080p video recording.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It comes with IP68-certified water and dust resistance in addition to Samsung Pay integration and Samsung Gear VR support. There is a fingerprint scanner at the back of the Galaxy A8 Plus.
