Samsung has launched its new ‘J’ series smartphones, the Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro in India. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is priced at Rs. 17,900 and the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro priced at Rs. 20,900. The phones will be available via offline retail and Samsung’s online store, with the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max going on sale from June 20, while the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro will be made available sometime in mid-July.
The company also announced a toned-down version of the Samsung pay service, ‘Samsung Pay Mini’ and a new “Social Camera” for the phone. Samsung’s Pay Mini payments solutions will support payments via UPI and wallets like Paytm. Social camera is a new feature that makes editing and sharing photos near instantaneous. You can pin your favorite contacts from Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp so you can send them a snap in just a tap.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max sports a 5.7-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storagewhich can be further expandable via a microSD card slot. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and packs a 3300mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Additionally, the phone features a smart glow mode around the rear camera, which lights up if there are any unread notifications.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display, powered by an Exynos 7870 octa-core SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card (up to 128GB). The smartphone packs a 3600mAh battery and is IP54 certified for being splash proof. It supports dual-SIM slots, USB Type-C port, and 4G LTE.
Both the Galaxy J7 Pro and the Galaxy J7 Max come with 13-megapixel camera with flash both on the front as well as on the back.
