Volkswagen has launched the Vento Sport Edition in India at a starting price of Rs. 11.44 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Vento Sport is powered by three engine options — a 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine with a maximum power output of 103 bhp and 174Nm of torque mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox, a 1.6-litre MPI petrol engine that generates 103bhp and 153Nm of torque and gets a five-speed manual transmission, and a 1.5-litre TDI diesel unit that generates 108bhp and 250Nm of torque and gets either a five-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The VW Vento Sport Edition gets features such as LED headlamps along with LED daytime running lights (DRL), carbon-finish Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs), chrome ‘Sport’ badging on the front fenders, glossy black roof wrap, 16-inch Portago alloy wheels, black side foils and glossy black rear spoiler. It also gets faux leather upholstered seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, electrically foldable ORVMs, touchscreen infotainment system with reverse camera and MirrorLink connectivity.
Safety features include dual airbags and ABS as standard across variants along with ESP.
The petrol TSI automatic variant is priced at Rs. 12.79 lakh, diesel manual is priced at Rs. 12.92 lakh and the diesel-automatic is priced at Rs. 14.17 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
